And we'll leave things off with this, with a promise to start the next installment with All-Star Squadron!

erm.. who is the Inker? Collette? cause that looks pretty bad work to me.. Alot of the figures looks very badly posed,it looks like alot of lines are missing too.. and with that cover... whoa, that is just bad.. the size of each figure, the posing... Wally Wood is normally soo much better then that...
ReplyDeleteWell, that story's reprinted in the Justice Society TPB I have, but no specific credits are included in it... could have been Wood inking Ric Estrada or Keith Giffen, or Wood inking Wood! This was done close to the end of Wood's career in comics, and I'd imagine his excesses didn't help his art.
ReplyDeleteI have found out, it was Wally wood inking himself.. too many american comic artists have that problem (I don't mean comic book artists that are American, but ones that work in the American comics field).. We don't have that problem as much in the UK, cause.. well.. Most of the comics that get done have 1 guy doing the art, inking and Colouring.. though these days, the american style of having 3 people is starting to come in.. and i will admit, John M Burns, was a good colourist when he worked with some artists whos work really look much better then when they worked solo..
