Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers poster! And that's just one of the many cool items you can behold in this post, after the jump!

Mego's Elastic Batman and Elastic Hulk, neither of which make any sense!

This Planet of the Apes coloring book looks like it's supposed to be based on "Escape from the Planet of the Apes," but I've learned that these books are pretty much a mishmash of stuff!
Here's some "First Spaceship on Venus" stuff:

How about some Flash Gordon stuff?

Here's a book and record set!

A vintage Flash Gordon coloring book!

Space Compasses and Tootsietoy Rockets! The rockets are pretty cool!

Extension gun... just like Flash used when... oh, wait, he never used anything like this, did he?

I can only guess that the movie viewer here and the extension gun above were produced when the license was cheap to get!

A vintage Flash Gordon patch!

Revell's Flash Gordon model kit!
Next, some "From the Earth to the Moon" lobby cards:

And we'll wrap this up with this George of the Jungle cel!

Cool stuff. I had a stretch-y dude when I was a kid. Not sure which, though. I seem to recall The Thing, Ben Grimm, but not sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd that Apes coloring book. I am not a big fan of the movies - did they really have a baby? Or did they adopt an Earth ape? Cause all I can think is that they would see an Earth ape child as a 'special boy'. LOL
Cool stuff, dude!
I love the colors! Humm that looks like good Tee-shirt material to me!
ReplyDeleteWings - Don't recall a stretchy Thing, but you might be thinking of Stretch Monster.
ReplyDeleteOn the Apes baby -- see Escape From the Planet of the Apes. Zira was pregnant when she and Cornelius arrived on present-day Earth, and swapped their child with a normal chimp. Their child, Caesar, was raised in a circus and eventually led the revolt of the apes.
Missy -- Which item are you referring to?
